Traumatizing Thursdays have finally come to an end. This week marks the season finale of American Horror Stories, FX on Hulu’s spinoff series to American Horror Story.
Over its seven episodes, Stories has taken some wild turns. We’ve been back to Murder House three times, burned it down once, learned about a murderous movie, and have found new reasons to fear Santa Claus. Wondering what’s next for this twisted series? Here’s everything we know about American Horror Stories Season 2.
Will There Be an American Horror Stories Season 2?
You bet. That’s what happens when you’re the most successful FX on Hulu original to date. During FX’s second day at the Television Critics Association’s 2021 summer tour, the network announced that there would be a second season of the horror anthology series.
When Will American Horror Stories Season 2 Premiere?
At the moment we don’t know when Season 2 of American Horror Stories will come out. But we can always speculate. The spinoff series was first announced in May of 2020. American Horror Story is typically pretty good about yearly release schedules, and that seems to be the case with this series. In July of 2021 the first episode of Stories premiered. Based on this timeline and the typical schedule for Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s shows, we can likely expect Season 2 to premiere in summer or fall of 2022. Of course, all of this is assuming that there won’t be any delays due to COVID-19.
How Is American Horror Stories Connected to American Horror Story?
This new series doesn’t just feature familiar faces and familiar behind-the-scenes talent. It’s literally connected to the world of American Horror Story.
You know how American Horror Story tells a different terrifying tale over the course of a season? American Horror Stories does that every episode. In its first season every episode save for its two-part premiere told a new saga with new characters. Some of those stories even took place in familiar AHS territory. Three of Season 1’s seven episodes took place in the Murder House from American Horror Story‘s first season. Hopefully, that trend continues into Season 2.
